Dr. Brian D. Ruby

 

Dr. Brian D. Ruby hails from Evergreen Park, Illinois.  He is a second generation dentist; his father being one Dr. Jack Ruby.  Born in Milwaukee, Dr. Ruby was raised in Evergreen Park and graduated from Evergreen Park Community High School in 1985. He then turned to one of the most accredited institutions in the sciences, Benedictine University (formally Illinois Benedictine College) for his undergraduate degree in Biology.  Before graduating in 1989, Brian attempted to balance his job at his father’s dental office, his studies at Benedictine and a baseball ambition. Upon learning that he had been accepted into dental school, he worked to save money as a vendor for Comiskey Park, bartending at golf courses, shipping and packing school supplies and played for several local semi-pro baseball clubs as well as continuing to work for his father.  When he graduated from dental school at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) in 1993, his education and experience working with his father allowed him to hit the ground running.  His dental career had begun.

After practicing for three years in Oak Lawn, IL , Dr. Ruby opened his Hickory Hills Dental Center in 1996.  His Naperville office was opened in 1999.  In 2007, Brian and his father formed their partnership in Oak Lawn. Given that Dr. Ruby was able to sustain and operate three dental offices shows that he is committed to his patients and his profession. His philosophy of providing excellent dental care in a friendly atmosphere has allowed Dr. Ruby to win over some of the most apprehensive patients. 

“I hate hurting people. It’s as simple as that.” Brian says,”If I concentrate on setting the patient at ease and giving painless dentistry, most patients will return to maintain themselves.” His offices are enrolled in many dental programs and PPO’s but they also offer special discounts for seniors and the non-insured.  Payment plans are available however, all offices are instructed to keep their everyday prices fair and reasonable to their respective markets.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Gina Kim

 

Dr. Gina Kim was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario where she graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honors  Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology.  She earned her dental degree from Case Western School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio in 2003 and then went on to complete a General Practice Residency program at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Lakeview, Illinois. 

In her spare time, Dr. Kim loves to travel and explore all of what the beautiful and exciting city of Chicago has to offer.  Her warm and gentle approach combined with excellent clinical skills will make your dental experience pleasant and positive.

Dr. Jack Ruby

 

Dr. Jack W. Ruby is a pillar of the South side of Chicago community. Born on August 12th, 1943, Dr. Ruby has practiced dentistry for over 43 years. A graduate of St. Rita High School, he received his undergraduate training at St. Procopius College (now Benedictine University).  He received his D.D.S. degree from Marquette University and completed one tour of duty in Vietnam as Captain in the Army medical/dental corps.

Very active in the local community, Dr. Ruby is the proud father of six children. He has coached all his 4 boys in his all-time-favorite pastime - BASEBALL.  As a limited partner in the Chicago White Sox, he is well known as the unofficial team dentist although he denies exclusivity.  He continues to rarely miss any home Sox game, and actually still plays the game with the White Sox fantasy camps and 40 and over leagues.

However, his true passion is dentistry. Now, Dr. Ruby, 67, has allowed his son, Dr. Brian Ruby, and his associates to partner with him to bring his particular brand of dentistry to more of the Chicagoland area. “Kill ‘em with kindness,” he philosophizes, “that’s the only way to win the hearts of patients who may be frightened or apprehensive. It usually doesn’t take long before people look forward to coming back to our offices.”

 

 

 

 

Dr. Elisa Ochoa

 

Dr. Elisa Ochoa knew at a young age that dentistry was her passion, and looks forward to sharing her enthusiasm as she begins to treat and get to know her patients.  She is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry, where she was able to expand her vocational training by treating patients in Mexico and Boulder, CO.

Dr. Ochoa explored her other passion, travel, by visiting 37 cities and towns in over 12 countries after receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  In her spare time, Dr. Ochoa can be found spending time with her family and loved ones, and planning her next travel adventure.
